Wheel Tire Automotive tail & brake light Car Vehicle

Pre-orders for the EX90 are now open, configurations will start in Fall 2023 and deliveries will start in early 2024.

Volvo has opened up U.S. preorders for the EX90, with configuration available in fall of 2023 and deliveries in early 2024. Volvo says it “will be available well-equipped at under $80,000.” Examples of the EX90 bound for the U.S. market will be produced at Volvo’s factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina.

Welcome to the forum! Is it going to be your first EV?
No, I own a Mustang Mach-E I bought in April 2021. It’s been a great car, but Ford isn’t a software company. There’s been a lot of software issues and the OTA updates have been a joke.

I‘ve been waiting for a 3-row SUV, and watching what’s coming, including the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 7, Vinfast V9 and Rivian R1S. The EX9 looks to be the perfect one for my needs, and I’m a big supporter of Volvo’s mission and sustainability goals. I hope they can keep the price under $80K, and dealers don’t get into the extra markup games.

Hey @OldEVGuy welcome to the forum! What stood out to you the most about the EX90 reveal? For me it's the design that Volvo is going for and the tech Volvo has been working on?

Would you keep the EX90 along with your Mach-E?

It was a combination of great design, overall tech, 3-rows, bidirectional charging, Apple Carplay, LiDAR, OTA updates and sustainable materials. It could possibly be a car I keep for the long term.

No, I’m going to sell the Mach-E. We’re a one car family.

It definitely seems like a car people are going to keep for a while. I imagine you'll get a pretty good trade-in value for the Mach-E when you get the EX90 as well.
