My power company in California (SMUD) offers a rate discount if I charge my 2023 XC-90 recharge from midnight to 6am. Of course the problem is that I’m usually asleep by 11pm. I have a 240V plug in my garage that the stock charger works with and my car chargers in about 4-5 hours.
I found a mechanical timer that accepts the unusual 240V stock plug. It’s only rated to 15 amps. Will this work? I am having difficulty finding the amperage pulled by the stock charger cable that comes with the car. Does anybody have a similar setup?

This appears to be for scheduling charging at remote charging stations. I want to schedule charging via my own home charging cable plugged into a 240V outlet.
